The E.gress Tour was launched this week at The Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin by Professor Rose Anne Kenny.

As a key expert in the field of ageing, Rose Anne placed E.gress in the greater context of ageing in Ireland and shared her knowledge about the condition of dementia and research findings regarding means of deterrence. The professor acknowledged the importance the arts and creatively in contributing to all people’s rich and fulfilled lives.

A large crowd attended the event inside IMMA’s beautiful Johnson Suite which took place on Tuesday 3rd November 2015.

Helen O’Donoghue (IMMA Senior Curator & Head of Education and Community Programmes) introduced Rose Anne and following the launch, steered the audience towards welcoming guest speakers Clíodhna Shaffrey and Jon Hinchliffe. I joined them in what was a lively discussion event talking about the artwork, its subject matter and production methods.
